We love engagement season! Alex and Jenny’s proposal was over the top and magical, but what I loved most about it was how sentimental it was! Alex is an extremely thoughtful partner!
Alex wanted winter vibes for his proposal, but nothing rustic since that’s not Jenny’s style. He also wanted a delicious dinner with a menu customized just for Jenny, so Splendido in Beaver Creek was the perfect choice!
Balloon Bar did this wonderful installation outside on the patio. As a planner I like every step of the proposal to look intentional, so the groom to be gets the credit! The more extra the better! This setup was so cool!
When it was time for the proposal, the hostess pretended to lead the couple to their table, but actually led them outside to the spot. She said yes!
Alex gave Jenny her grandmother’s ring with a shiny new diamond!
Toni Axelrod took photos of the couple after the proposal. We always do this because our proposals are a lot more than just getting down on one knee, and the couple will be able to use these beautiful photos for their wedding website and save the dates.
After the proposal and photos, the couple enjoyed a very special dinner. Jenny loves wine tasting and traveling. Splendido customized a wine pairing menu with wines from wineries the couple has been to together! Because the table was small, we kept the decor simple, but still romantic with rose petals and candles. When the couple sat down they were greeted with champagne in personalized flutes because details matter.
The couple stayed at The Grand Hyatt Vail, and while the couple was enjoying their dinner, we did a rose petal turndown with photos of the couple. Alex wanted Christmas lights, and for us to have Tim Allen’s “The Santa Claus” playing on the TV because Jenny loves Christmas movies, especially that one! Toni Axelrod is magic, and she printed a photo of the couple from their proposal literally an hour before we turned down the room, and we put it in a really pretty Kate Spade frame because Jenny loves Kate Spade.
