Every Tuesday I will be posting new wedding planning videos on my youtube channel (Please subscribe), especially if you don’t have a full service wedding planner! I’m focussing on destination wedding planning because we’re based out of Vail, Colorado and 95% of our couples are planning their destination weddings in Vail/Beaver Creek from out of state, but this video applies to everyone! I do wedding day timelines the same way whether it’s a destination wedding or not!
As soon as we book a new client, as long as the date is set and venues are locked in, we do the timeline! There’s not a whole lot of planning you can do without it because every vendor you try to book will need some sort of timing, so they know how many hours to put in their contracts, etc….
In this video I show you how I start a timeline! I use pro software, but you can use your google docs or whatever you want obviously! I also want to mention there are lots of ways to plan your timelines, this is just one example. This also is not the final timeline, just the first draft. As you continue with your wedding planning you will keep adding to it. My timelines always end up being like 10 pages long by the wedding day!
