I recently attended a wedding expo, and I ended up winning a $25 gift certificate and makeup consultation from Mary Kay Consultant, Michelle Cahill, in Vail! I’ve never used the products, but my grandmother used to, so I honestly thought Mary Kay was a makeup catalog targeted for older women. I was wrong! Mary Kay is cool, and I’m a fan!
Michelle welcomed me to her beautiful house in Vail for the consultation. She was really nice, funny, and professional!
She told me about her services, and how she does makeup for not just the bride, but also the whole bridal party for free! Often brides are looking for ways to cut costs, this is a wonderful way to save hundreds.
Michelle took me through the same consultation process that she would take a bride through. As a planner, I really appreciated that. We started with skincare, and then moved on to makeup. I was surprised to learn that Mary Kay offers continuous training to their consultants. It showed because Michelle was really good at applying makeup, and knowledgeable about trends.
I was going out with friends after the consultation, and so she did a nighttime smoky cat eye and nude lip look. I really liked the way my makeup turned out! Below is a selfie of the finished look.
